GENERAL INFORMATION:

Players Will Be Registered In 1 of 4 Divisions in the KickStart Program (organized by birth year):
- Mini Kickers [U4] - birth year 2021:  Soccer ball size (3)
- Little Kickers [U5/U6] - birth years 2019/2020:  Soccer ball size (3)
- Junior Strikers [U7/U8] - birth years 2017/2018:  Soccer ball size (4)
- Seniors [U9/U10] - birth years 2015/2016:  Soccer ball size (4)
*All KickStart teams are c0-ed

Specific players eligible for a U9 or U10 County team, who have prior experience and/or demonstrated notable skill, may register for a U9 or U10 (Boys or Girls) County team. If you are unsure if you should register in the Senior Division or a County team, please E-mail JPYO Leadership at [email protected].  Please see the "County Rec Soccer" option under the PROGRAMS tab for additional information.

- Games:   Will tentatively begin September 7, 2024.  Last date for games is TBD.   There will be one additional week for games added as a potential make-up week for rained out games.  All games are held Saturday mornings between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm at Provinces Park in Severn.
- Practices:  Will tentatively begin the week of August 26, 2024.   Practice schedules will be determined by each team's coach.  Players/parents will be notified of the team practice schedule in the week or two prior to August 26, 2024.
- Location:  All practices and games are at Provinces Park in Severn (1742 Disney Rd, Severn, MD  21144).
- Equipment:  All players must wear shin guards; soccer cleats are optional.  Players may not wear any jewelry, including necklaces and/or earrings during games.

Registration Dates:
- Sunday, May 12, 2024:  Registration Opens with (-$10) Early Bird Discount (Registration Fee: $80)
- Friday, July 5, 2024:  Early Bird Discount Ends (Registration Fee: $90)
- Thursday, August 1, 2024:  Late Registration (+$5) Begins (Registration Fee: $95)
- Sunday, August 11, 2024:  Registration Closes

**The best way to ensure a roster spot is to register early.**

Divisions may reach capacity earlier than the registration closing date.  Wait Lists will be enabled for any divisions that reach capacity.  You will not be charged a registration fee while placed on the Wait List.  Players may be activated from the Wait List if a roster spot becomes available.  If a program is not listed, then registration has closed for the season.   Registration MAY remain open after the closing date until all rosters are full. 

Included With Your Registration Fee:
- 1-2 practices per week, depending on the individual coach's preference
- 1 game per week; Junior Strikers and Seniors games are refereed by youth referees
- All players will receive a trophy/award at the end of the season
- Uniforms:  Uniform costs are included in the KickStart registration fee.  All participants will receive a jersey, shorts, and socks that players will keep.  Uniforms will be distributed to players approximately one week prior to the first week of games. 

Parents:
-  We need volunteers to assist in the following areas:  Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers.   We are also in need of volutneers to help set up game day fields and parking lot attendants Saturday mornings.  A few minutes of your valuable time will go a long way to ensure a successful soccer season and an enjoyable experience for the kids.  Registration fees for volunteer Head Coaches are waived. 
- Extensive soccer knowledge is not necessary for volunteer Coach and Assistant Coaches.  This age group will focus on learning the basics of soccer while engaging in “mini games” during practices to promote basic skill building and teamwork.
